Spilsby Town Council have announced that the play area on the Ancaster Avenue Playing Fields will be closed for renovation and installation of new play equipment.

The play area will be closed from Thursday, November 24, 2024, for approximately four weeks. The first phase of the development will include the installation of what the Town Council refers to as a “statement piece,” which will be a large ship, new swings, and new surfacing.

The Town Council have stated that this has been made possible due to generous donations from Lincolnshire Co-Operative, Tong Engineering, GPC Industries, and J&A International. Grant funding has also been secured from Platform Housing and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund via East Lindsey District Council

The Town Council have confirmed that they would welcome your feedback and ideas for the next development phase. Suggestions should be sent to the Town Clerk in the Franklin Hall or by email to townclerk@spilsbytowncouncil.gov.uk
